Color Flash Cards is comprised of two components which store and/or use your data in different ways: the Color Flash Cards Android application, and the colorflashcards.org website. Neither the app nor website store or transmit any identifying information about you or your device. The only data that is ever stored or transmitted by either is the cards and decks that you create within the application. The Color Flash Cards Android application: Your data is stored in what is generally called "Internal Storage". This is visible to other applications installed on your device (i.e. you could use a text editor application to edit the deck files). Many devices also make this section of storage visible to a PC when the device is plugged in. The application does not copy or store any images used within flash cards. The only data stored about the image is a URL, or filepath location pointing to it. If you choose not to use the PC editing feature of the application is never transmitted off of your device. The colorflashcards.org website: Is used for the PC editing feature. When you use this feature the data that represents your deck is sent to the colorflashcards.org website. Once your deck has been sent to the server it can be accessed and changed by anyone who enters the unique PIN code that was given to you in the application. When you click the save button within the application the data that represents the deck is downloaded from the website back to your device. The old data will eventaully be deleted by the website (3 or more months old). It is better to get a new unique pin code each time you want to edit your deck, rather than re-using old ones.
